About

Worth+Will was created out of frustration. I had seen too many of my favorite brands — usually the small-but-mighty who were attempting to change the game in their respective industries — falter and shutter.  As I spoke to these business leaders about their challenges, a common theme emerged: a lack of experience and/or resources when it came to laying the fundamental foundation around strategy and growth.  Time, money, and help are usually in short supply, especially for startups and smaller businesses — and the due diligence surrounding their planning processes often falls to the bottom of the priority list.  Whatever the reason, when plans lack fidelity, companies are more vulnerable to outside forces like an economic downturn or a supply chain fumble.

At W+W, our mission is to reduce that vulnerability and strengthen visionary brands for the long haul.  We offer a range of services to complement the game-changing work you’re already doing.  Whether you want to go all the way back to the drawing board and re-work your growth strategy or just talk through a specific concern like branding or customer segmentation, we’re here to offer that support… on a schedule and at a price that fits your needs.

I’ve built my career with global Fortune 100 organizations including Facebook, Walmart, Boeing, and IBM, and have worked with several early-stage businesses in tech and retail.

I’m Kate Heath, founder of Worth+Will.

I combine my strategy development skills with my marketing acumen to help clients clarify their business objectives and align their marketing activities accordingly — while always keeping their customers’ and employees’ wellbeing top-of-mind.

In my last corporate role, I served as the Head of Marketing Strategy and Operations at Instagram in San Francisco.  During the spring of 2020, I moved back east to Tampa, Florida, where I started Worth+Will and joined Embarc Collective as the in-house Executive Brand and Marketing Advisor.  Embarc is home to some of the most exciting startups in the southeast, and their founders are a delight to coach.

Nowadays, I make my home back in DC, leading Student Entrepreneurship programs at The George Washington University (my MBA alma mater!) and working with endlessly inspiring young innovators.

Worth+Will clients are extraordinary.  They’re companies and brands who are just as committed to driving change as they are to driving revenue.  Sustainability, ethics, and transparency are often key elements of their value prop — or they are actively working toward it.  They’re weary of the status quo, and they know that businesses have both the power and the responsibility to do better… regardless of size, industry, or geography.  Whether they’re upending industry norms, establishing higher standards, or innovating to enable greater wellbeing, they’re the ones with the will to push the boundaries of what we believe is acceptable and are therefore worth the most.  They’re worth our attention, our support, and ultimately, our business.
